SAILE Industries is a 100% Filipino-owned mining company that is involved mainly in the mining, processing and marketing of natural zeolite and bentonite minerals.
Established in 1992, by its Owner, the late Elias E. Olegario, SAILE is the first and only pioneering pure natural zeolite producer in the Philippines . Obsessed with minerals, Ely as he was fondly called, discovered that his 20-hectare property in Mangatarem, Pangasinan contained an unusual clay-like, light-colored mineral deposit. Detailed studies on the mineral by the Mines & Geosciences Bureau and the Department of Science and Technology later revealed that he has stumbled on a huge deposit of a high quality rare, mineral deposit, ZEOLITE. Further studies on the deposit revealed that the overlying clayey beds is actually a BENTONITE that has similar composition and properties as ZEOLITE. Ely went on to research on the marketability of the mineral locally and proceeded to design and put up a plant that started as a small milling plant and grew to what it is today, capable of producing 1,500 tons per month of high quality feed-grade natural zeolite and bentonite.
At present, SAILE is holder of a Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (MPSA), allowing the company to mine the minerals over a period of twenty five (25) years, over its property in Mangatarem covering an area of more than seven hundred (700) hectares. Current mineral resources of the property is in excess of twenty million (20,000,000) tons of zeolite and bentonite.
SAILE currently supplies powdered zeolites and bentonites to local producers of animal feeds and food supplements, fertilizers, soil conditioners, pozzolanic cements, water conditioners, filters and detoxifying agents for aquaculture, deodorizers, etc.
